There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to: we do not use profiling cookies.
Which cookies we use
Only the technical session ones, the ones that keep you signed in after you have logged in. They expire on their own and tell nobody anything about what you read.
What we do not use
No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no analytics that identify people. That is a product decision and not a setting: if a profiling tool ever came in, the banner would become mandatory and this page would change.
Local storage
If you save stories without an account, the list lives in your browser's local storage. It is not a cookie and it is never sent anywhere: you can clear it by clearing the site's data.
